INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Head coach Jeff Jones and the Old Dominion men’s basketball team received a NCAA Public Recognition Award from NCAA President Mark Emmert. This award is given to teams with an NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate in the top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sports in the 2015-16 academic year.
“As the head coach, you play an essential role in helping your student-athletes achieve their academic and athletics goals,” Emmert wrote Jones. “The academic success of your team demonstrates your commitment to developing student-athletes and promoting the overall student-athlete experience.
