NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion University women’s soccer team defeated VMI in the first exhibition of the 2016 season by a 2-1 score at the ODU Soccer Complex. Kira Laurento’s 90th minute goal lifted the Lady Soccer Monarchs to victory on Wednesday night in front of over 300 fans.
The Lady Soccer Monarchs dominated first half action, taking 14 shots to the Keydets’ zero; however, the score remained tied, 0-0, heading into the locker rooms at halftime. Old Dominion also fired off five corner kicks, as VMI was held to zero in that department as well.
