NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion women’s tennis team (10-7) fell to VCU (12-6) by a 4-2 score on Saturday afternoon at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center. The Lady Monarchs were again without Borislava Botusharova.
ODU’s double tandems of Holly Hutchinson/Ingrid Vojcinakova and Adriana Rajkovic/Natalya Malenko claimed victory to give ODU a 1-0 lead.
Old Dominion senior Marijana Novakovic was too much for Noumea Witmus in No. 6 singles (6-2, 4-6, 6-3) to give ODU a 2-1 advantage, but the Rams would win the remaining three singles matches to ultimately claim a 4-2 victory in Norfolk.
