Kelly Loftus, who averaged a team-high 12.4 points a game at Hofstra over the past two seasons, transferred to Old Dominion, the Lady Monarchs announced Monday.
The 5-foot-10 guard will have to sit out the 2016-17 season and will have one year of eligibility remaining .
Lady Monarchs coach Karen Barefoot called her “a fearless competitor and a proven scorer with the ability to stretch defenses due to her 3-point range.”
The Alexandria native helped the Pride go 45-22 the past two seasons, both of which ended with WNIT appearances. She hit 148 3-pointers in three years, ranking her fifth all-time at Hofstra, and earned all-CAA honors the past two seasons.
