NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion (3-12, 0-3 Big East) lacrosse team fell to Marquette (8-7, 2-1 Big East) at home on Saturday afternoon by a 17-7 score. Six different Monarchs in Glory Johnson, Madi Johnson, Claire Porter, Sophia Richie, Lilly Siskind and MK Maloney contributed to scoring.
Madi Johnson opened scoring for ODU off a free position shot. The first goal of the game also marked Johnson's fist career goal.
The Golden Eagles proceeded to score five unanswered goals to take a 5-1 lead. Glory Johnson and Porte then netted one to close in on the Marquette lead.
