Kentucky ends ODU's unbeaten baseball start

Old Dominion's unbeaten start came to a crashing halt Saturday.

Tristan Pompey went 3 for 4 with four runs, Marcus Carson went 3 for 4 with three runs and Zach Logue pitched six strong innings as Kentucky routed the Monarchs 19-2 on Saturday in the ODU Baseball Tournament.

The Wildcats (2-4) scored three runs in the first inning, four in the third and never looked back in collecting 20 hits. Zach Reks and Luke Heyer each hit home runs, while Troy Squires had four RBIs and Heyer had three.

The Monarchs (4-1) scored single runs in the third and eighth innings.
