Jay Rountree Inducted Into Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame

NORFOLK, Va. – Former Old Dominion men’s basketball player, Jay Rountree, was recently inducted into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame. Rountree was joined by fellow ODU teammates Dave Twardzik, Tim Sweeney, Curtis Cole, Thomas Keeling and Leon Hylton at the induction ceremony.

The 53rd Annual Induction Ceremony of the Capital Area Chapter was held at the Red Lion Hotel.

Rountree was born in Staunton, Virginia in 1951 and in 1954 his family moved to Camp Hill, Pa. Rountree and his two brothers were enrolled in Milton Hershey School in 1965. During his high school playing days, Rountree set many single season and career records including the then school record of 1,221 points (1967-70).
