Henriksson Leads the Field, Monarchs Sit in Second after Day One of Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Freshman Jakob Henriksson shot a personal-best 4-under 66 in the opening round to claim sole possession of first place following the first day of play at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate, hosted by William & Mary. As a whole, the Old Dominion men's golf team sits in second place, three shots off leaders VCU.

Henriksson started the day off on the right foot, carding a birdie on his opening hole. The native of Stockholm, Sweden went on to log four more birdies in the opening round to record the lowest round of the day and the lowest score by a Monarch this season.
