DALLAS – Old Dominion men's golfer Gustav Fransson earned all-conference recognition on Thursday afternoon, as he was named second team All-Conference USA.
Fransson posted a team-best 70.56 average round score this season, good for 51st in the nation among Division I golfers, and earned four top-10 finishes in the shortened 2019-2020 season. The Umea, Sweden native finished his fall campaign with back-to-back third place showings, posting a 5-under at the Firestone Invitational and a 3-under at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate. In the two spring tournaments the Monarchs competed in before the season was shut down, Fransson placed sixth at the Martin Downs Collegiate and tied for second at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate.
