NORFOLK, Va. – Former Old Dominion University sailor Stephanie Roble qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics last week in the Sailing 49erFX category.
Roble and teammate Maggie Shea finished in third place in the 49erFX World Championships and earned the United States' bid to the Olympics. The duo was the first ever American team to medal at worlds.
Roble was a three-time All-Amercian sailor at Old Dominion. She helped ODU to a third place finished at the ICSA Women's Dinghy National Championships as a junior. Roble graduated with a degree in finance in 2011.
