Former ODU baseball coach Pat McMahon voted into the ABCA Hall of Fame

Former Old Dominion baseball coach Pat McMahon has been named a member of the Class of 2018 that will be inducted into the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

He coached the Monarchs from 1990 to 1994, leading them to a pair of NCAA Regional appearances and the 1994 CAA championship. McMahon, the CAA Coach of the Year in 1994, went 189-86 at ODU.

Among his players who were drafted was Wayne Gomes, who was the fourth overall selection in the first round of the 1993 MLB Draft. Jeff Ware was selected in the sandwich round (between rounds one and two) in the 1991 draft by Toronto.
