Florida Atlantic thumps ODU, but Monarchs can still clinch No. 2 seed

Florida Atlantic did all its scoring in the first three innings of a 6-1 Conference USA victory Thursday night over Old Dominion at FAU Baseball Stadium.

ODU's only error of the game led to a big inning for the Owls. They scored four runs in the third – all came with two outs and all were unearned.

Kyle Beam had three of the Monarchs’ eight hits. They scored their only run on a sacrifice fly from Nick Walker (Kellam) in the seventh innings.

Right-hander Sam Sinnen (Kellam) took the loss, allowing seven hits in five innings.
