Temple scored seven minutes into the first overtime period Friday afternoon to upset No. 13 Old Dominion in a Big East field hockey game at Howarth Field.
The Owls took a 1-0 lead when Sarah Keer fired a shot into the lower left corner in the 11th minute. The Lady Monarchs tied it in the 27th minute when Chrissy Horn converted a long, low shot from the top of the circle for her second goal of the season.
Rachael Mueller scored the winner in overtime.
ODU owned a 21-7 shot advantage and attempted 12 penalty corners to Temple's four.
