CLEVELAND, Ohio - Larry Early was named Mid-American Conference Wrestler of the Week as announced by the league Wednesday morning. The redshirt junior earned the 157-pound title at the Navy Classic this past weekend after posting a perfect 5-0 record at the tournament.
At the Navy Classic, Early routed his opponents by a 67-19 margin, including a win over nationally ranked Hunter Willits of Oregon State. Early racked up two wins by decision, two technical falls, and a major decision. The Illinois native now owns a 10-0 record against Division I opponents.
