RALEIGH, N.C. -- Three Old Dominion wrestlers registered top-six finishes at the NC State Wolfpack Open Sunday in Raleigh. Austin Eads placed fourth at 157, Abner Romero claimed fifth place at 165 and Emilio Saavedra grabbed sixth at 141.
After falling to the eventual finalist in the first round, Eads reeled off six victories including four wins via bonus points to battle back through the consolation bracket for fourth place. The redshirt junior from Lee's Summit, Missouri finished the day 6-1 with two tech falls and a major to his credit.
