NORFOLK, Va. -- Duke's Cole Baumgartner used an escape and a riding time point to earn a 2-0 decision at 133 in the meet's final bout, propelling Duke to an 18-16 win over Old Dominion Wednesday night at the Ted Constant Center. The Blue Devils improved to 3-5 on the season, while the Monarchs fell to 4-8.
Beginning at 141, NCAA qualifier Zach Finesilver gave Duke a 3-0 lead after picking up a 4-1 decision over the Monarchs' Kevin Budock. Michael Hayes kept his momentum rolling at 149, however, when the fifth-year senior answered with a commanding 9-2 decision over Xavi Ramos.
