Old Dominion spotted Middle Tennessee a 4-0 lead, then rallied to a 6-4 Conference USA baseball win Friday night at Bud Metheny Complex.
The Blue Raiders scored all their runs in the fourth inning. The Monarchs answered with one in the bottom of the fourth and three in the fifth to tie it, then pulled ahead with two more in the sixth.
In the sixth, Nick Walker (Kellam) hit an RBI single, then scored on Connor Myers’ fielder’s choice to give ODU the lead.
Zach Rutherford (Western Branch) had three hits and Myers had two RBIs for the Monarchs (30-19, 13-12), who ended a two-game losing streak.
