NORFOLK, Va. -- Sophomore Old Dominion field hockey player Danielle Grega was recently named to the CoSIDA Academic All-DistrictWomen’s At-Large Team, as announced by the organization on Thursday afternoon. Grega became the first ODU female student-athlete to earn the accolade since Maeghan Pardy from rowing was recognized in 2013.
A Kingston, Pa. native, Grega earned first team honors after posting a 3.98 grade-point average in biology and tying for the team lead with 23 points, which ranked sixth in the BIG EAST. She also led the Lady Monarchs with 11 goals during her sophomore campaign, the fifth best mark in the conference, and scored two game-winning goals.
