HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Several athletes from the football and soccer teams of Conference USA schools visited children at the Hoops Family Children’s Hospital at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Student-athletes from the Marshall men’s soccer and football teams as well as players from the FIU, Charlotte and Old Dominion soccer teams visited with patients and their families at the Children’s Hospital Friday morning.
They brought smiles as well as gifts, including posters, t-shirts, soccer balls and tickets to the weekends sporting events. The student-athletes signed autographs and took pictures with the children, families and hospital staff in the cancer treatment centers and other sections throughout the Hoops Family Children’s Hospital.
