Charlotte scored twice in the bottom of the ninth inning to beat Old Dominion 4-3 in the opener of their Conference USA series at Hayes Stadium.
Brian Morley had a solo home run and RBI double for the Monarchs (11-25-4-12), who fell to 0-6 in conference series openers and
Erik Stock (Greenbrier Christian) and Kyle Battle added two hits each for ODU.
Jack Jett (0-1) took the loss.
