The Big East Field Hockey Championship [BigEast.com Tournament Central] presented by Jeep will be played on the campus of Providence College at the Friars’ Lennon Family Field on Nov. 3 and 5. Providence serving as host of the conference’s postseason tournament for the third time. The Friars recently underwent facility upgrades, with the field’s Astroturf surface being replaced, in addition to having the padding on the surrounding walls redone and re-branded. Additional upgrades to the field include a new scoreboard and LED videoboard display. The tournament champion receives the league’s automatic berth into the 16-team NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship.
