NORFOLK, Va. -- For the second consecutive year, head coach Karen Barefoot and the Old Dominion women's basketball program signed the top recruiting class in Conference USA, according to All Star Girls Report (ASGR).
The four-player class, announced last Wednesday, is not only ranked first in the conference, but is also No. 38 nationally. ODU is ranked ahead of several Power 5 schools, including Wake Forest, Kansas, Missouri and Illinois. The national ranking is a five-spot improvement over last year's class that was ranked 43rd in the country.
The 2017 class brings height to the Lady Monarch squad, as frontcourt players Dejah Carter and twins Janae and Janeen Camp are all 6-4 or taller.
