CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 38 Old Dominion men’s tennis team (14-4) had its 12-match win streak snapped in heartbreaking fashion to No. 50 Harvard (11-8) by a 4-3 score at the Murr Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon.
The Tennis Monarchs jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after a solid doubles performance. ODU’s duos of Michael Weindl/Javier Jover-Maestre and Jose Nunez-Navarro/Jacob Nicolussi, each beat their opponents 6-3, respectively.
Old Dominion’s Adam Moundir helped extend the lead when he made quick work of Nicky Hu in straight sets 6-1, 6-2 in No. 1 singles. Harvard came firing back with a victory of their own on Court 5.
