The Oklahoma State women’s tennis team’s season concludes with a loss in its first Elite Eight matchup since 2017.
The No. 20 Cowgirls fell 4-0 to No. 3 Michigan, ending their NCAA Tournament stint and their time at the Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas, on Thursday.
The team finished 22-8 with the conclusion of their sixth-ever Elite Eight appearance and 13th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. They also added another Big 12 regular season title to their resume.
Things started in favor of Michigan from the start as they secured the doubles point.
Anastasiya Komar and Rose Marie Nijkamp defeated their opponents Lily Jones and Jessica Bernales, 6-2, on court one.
