Whiting, Akot shine in OSU's win over North Texas

DENTON, Texas — Facing a contrasting playstyle, Oklahoma State was able to score the buckets it needed in an 73-55 win over North Texas.

Entering the contest, UNT allowed just 54.6 points per game, whereas the Cowgirls have lit up the scoreboard, averaging 94.9 points. OSU was able to be efficient in its shots in the win.

With the victory, the Cowgirls improved to 9-1 for the second consecutive year. The win also marked OSU coach Jacie Hoyt’s 150th career win.

“I’m not really someone who thinks about those things,” Hoyt said. “I’m just really focused on this team right now and giving them everything I have.
