Oklahoma State threw a curve ball and wore Black (Phantom Pete)-Black-Gray for the home opener against Central Arkansas. Everyone was probably expecting White-Orange-White with that combination being the trend since 2012. This was the first time OSU has worn this combo, even though we have seen Black-Black-Gray before vs. Kansas in 2013.
I like this combo for a few reasons:
1. The black Phantom Pete helmet looks great with black and gray, and this was the first time we really got to see that. Another thing that I noticed last season was the black numbers on the back of the helmets.
