The pipeline from NEO to OSU continues to benefit the Cowboys. Following a similar path to Jacobe Smith, another two-time All-American from Northeastern Oklahoma College will be making his way to Stillwater next year, Alex Kauffman, (also a two-time Oklahoma state champion out of Vinita) has announced plans to wrestle in Stillwater next year.
Kauffman was a four-time state placer, a three-time finalist, and two-time champion in high school. In his two years at NEO wrestling under arguably the top junior college coach in the country Joe Renfro, Kauffman finished fifth as a freshman, and fourth as a sophomore at the NJCAA tournament.
