An already star-studded wrestling room has added two familiar names to its impressive pool of talent.
Early Tuesday morning, Scott Wright of The Oklahoman broke a story about two Cowboy football players, Malcolm Rodriguez and Brock Martin, who had joined the wrestling team for practices.
Combined, Rodriguez and Martin won five individual state titles in wrestling and now have the opportunity to train with the wrestlers themselves.
Coach John Smith said he was impressed with how the two football players came prepared to wrestle.
“They weren’t coming in there and thinking “I’m ready to go a match,” Smith said, “They knew they needed to kind of slowly pace themselves.
