The Cowboys capped off their weekend road trip knocking off No. 9 ranked Minnesota 23-9 on Sunday night.
There were quite a few story lines surrounding this one, so we’ll go over a few of them here.
Rivalries Continue
Nick Piccininni renewed his rivalry with 5th-ranked Sean Russell and furthered his lead in the series to 4-2. They last met at the NCAA tournament last year. Russell was wrestling for Edinboro at the time before transferring to Minnesota, but the result was still the same as Piccininni picked up another win.
Nick has looked good early.
