*Oklahoma State is one of five FBS schools to have all of its nonconference opponents coming off bowl appearances. Oddly enough, Tulsa is also on the list, along with UCLA, Rice and Louisiana-Monroe.
*OSU’s current 21-game win streak in home openers is tied for the second-longest active FBS streak, according to the Sports and Entertainment Research Center. The Cowboys are tied with Wisconsin, with Florida topping the list at 27.
*OSU and Tulsa have a lot of connections between the programs, with players from the same high schools facing each other, or coaches who worked together previously at other places.
