After three weeks, OSU's men's basketball team won a game. Avoiding the first seven-game losing streak to start conference play for the first time since the '70s, OSU beat West Virginia in a game that forced the Cowboys to win close.
Freshman center Brandon Garrison, the undoubted future of Cowboy basketball, shined with 20 points, five rebounds, four assists, one block and four steals. What stood out to me the most was entering Saturday, he was a 57% free throw shooter.
