Texas beat Texas Tech 57-7 on Friday evening in Austin clearing the way for the Cowboys to get to Arlington with a win against BYU. With Oklahoma also winning Friday, the Cowboys are in with a win, but out with a loss to the Cougars. That game is at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Boone Pickens Stadium.
Texas’ dominant win saved the Cowboys from a convoluted tiebreaker scenario. OSU has been a favorite to get to Arlington for a while, but when the Pokes lost to UCF a few weeks back, that took full control out of their hands.
