AUSTIN, Texas (AP) Texas assistant football coach Joe Wickline is asking a judge to dismiss Oklahoma State's efforts to force him to pay nearly $600,000 for his move to the Longhorns.

In a court motion filed this week in Oklahoma, Wickline says sworn statements from Texas coach Charlie Strong, offensive coordinator Shawn Watson and Wickline prove that he has some play-calling duties.

That was a necessary detail in his contract with Oklahoma State if Wickline wanted to leave for another school without having to pay damages.
