FORT WORTH, Texas — Carson Teel didn’t smile, but coach Josh Holliday said there were plenty of positives to take away.
The Oklahoma State baseball team’s eight-game win streak came to an end Friday night as TCU downed the Cowboys 7-5 in OSU’s Big 12 opener. In a game indicative of being a Friday-night contest between top-20 teams, the No. 3 Horned Frogs twice overcame a pair of two-run deficits, scoring four runs off Teel, the Cowboys’ fun-loving left-hander, in the bottom of the eighth, leaving him in a somber mood.
“Just went out there and left some pitches up in the zone,” Teel said.
