Suprise of the game: Gunnar Gundy delivers in crunch time

Mike Gundy said OSU would play multiple quarterbacks in its season-opener versus Central Arkansas.

The assumption was that it would be Garret Rangel and Alan Bowman handling the majority of the important snaps.

Rangel started the game, finishing 10 of 15 for 118 yards with a touchdown and an interception in 27 snaps. Bowman stepped in after and completed 13 of 24 passes for 80 yards.

Deep into the second half, the Cowboys were looking for a spark and got it from the unexpected.

As OSU held a 13-7 lead late in the third quarter, and Gunnar Gundy took over at quarterback.
