Thanks to a win against San Diego on Saturday, the No. 10 Oklahoma State women’s tennis team advanced to the ITA Kickoff final held Sunday at the Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center. Its opponent was another OSU - Ohio State University.
The Cowgirls started strong against No. 25 Ohio State, due in part to the play of freshman Lenka Stara. She and her doubles teammate Bunyawi Thamchaiwat needed a win to secure the doubles point because the schools split the first two matches.
The Cowgirls (5-1) managed to pull out a victory in an exciting doubles finish to give Oklahoma State a 1-0 lead, but Stara was not done winning.
