Maxwell bends, doesn’t break:
Through four innings, junior pitcher Kelly Maxwell had given up just one hit. Then it happened, for just the second time this season an opposing player hit a home run off Maxwell.
With a 2-0 lead and the North Texas offense struggling, it seemed Maxwell had complete control of the game. Then in one swing, Lexi Cobb delivered a two-run shot to tie the game.
