Andy Dillard stood in line at a McDonald's in Canada, grabbing a bite in between golf rounds of a tournament, when he noticed the newspaper headline in the hands of the customer in front of him.
Scott Verplank, his former Oklahoma State teammate and still a Cowboy, was leading the Western Open as a college kid.
“There was no doubt in my mind that he was fixin' to win that golf tournament,” Dillard said. “I just knew how he was made up.
“The success he'd had, it didn't matter who he was going to play against.
