Ryan Smeeton, Oklahoma State senior cross-country runner, has made a name for himself at the NCAA level for cross-country. Smeeton was born and raised in Canada, and he was one of the best runners in Alberta during high school.
“In Canada, in my province, I was the top runner for my class in high school,” Smeeton said. “But once I got to the NCAA level there were 200 guys just as good as I am. It really widens your perspective on how much it takes to be good.”
Alongside Smeeton, there is another Albertan superstar at OSU, who he happens to be extremely familiar with.
