TULSA — Chandler Rogers has been in this position before.
The redshirt-junior 165-pounder on the Oklahoma State wrestling team has experienced the glory of dominating the semifinal round two times already before pinning his opponent, Utah Valley’s Demetrius Romero, less than two minutes into the first period of their match Saturday.
Rogers has already experienced the agonizing day-long interlude between the semifinal match and the championship.
What he hasn’t experienced, though, is the victorious excitement of being crowned a Big 12 champion.
“At this point in the year, you’ve got nothing to lose,” Rogers said.
