After a near-record first round of 65, Rickie Fowler set himself up nicely as he was on top of the leaderboard at the U.S. Open with -7. Unfortunately, a golf tournament isn’t one round.
Three straight bogeys on holes 12-14 and only two birdies on the front nine of the second round meant Fowler was still in contention. However, he moved back a stroke and was tied for second behind Paul Casey, Tommy Fleetwood, Brooks Koepka and Brian Harman, who were all at 7-under par.
On moving day, Fowler had a good day as he shot a 4-under 68.
