Last month we revisited the PFB staff’s preseason predictions for Oklahoma State. The crystal ball was apparently a little murky on a few of those.
So for the sake of transparency — and to provide an occasional chuckle — let’s see how true our prognostications for college football on the whole turned out to be.
First off, let’s take a look at our predictions for the Power 5 conference champions.
Big Ten Title
- Kyle Porter: Ohio State
- Nick Welch: Ohio State
- Kyle Boone: Ohio State
- Hayden Barber: Ohio State
- Steven Mandeville: Penn State
- Phillip Slavin: Michigan
- Kyle Cox: Wisconsin
Result: Ohio State beat previously unbeaten Wisconsin 27-21 in the Big Ten Championship Game, but couldn’t overcome an ugly blowout to a bad Iowa team to reach the playoff.
