Reports: Hauss Hejny expected to start OSU's season opener, Zane Flores will also play

Related Topics: Tom Flores, Doug Meacham

Three days out from Oklahoma State football’s season opener, we have a better idea of what the Cowboys’ quarterback situation will look like.

ESPN’s Chris Low reported Tuesday that OSU will start transfer quarterback Hauss Hejny behind center Thursday night against UT Martin. Hejny spent his freshman season at TCU and arrived in Stillwater in the spring.

Hejny and Zane Flores have been battling for the starting job. Low also said “both could play in the game” and On3’s Peter Nakos said on X that Flores “will also play.”

Hejny has familiarity with Cowboys offensive coordinator Doug Meacham, who spent last season at TCU coaching its inside receivers.
