Report: Rudolph No. 3 in Pittsburgh

It looks as if Mason Rudolph is QB3 in Pittsburgh.

Ray Fittipaldo, who covers the Steelers for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, tweeted out Monday that Josh Dobbs was told Saturday that he was Ben Roethlisberger’s backup and Rudolph was the third option.

Josh Dobbs was told Saturday afternoon that he’s the No. 2 QB. Rookie Mason Rudolph is No.3.

Throughout the preseason, Dobbs, in his second season with the Steelers, completed 67 percent of his passes for 434 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions.

Rudolph completed 55 percent of his passes for 315 yards, three touchdowns and an interception.
