Markell Samuel was set to be a big piece of the Cowboys’ offensive line in 2025, but a freak injury in a hotel walkthrough derailed those plans.
Now Samuel is reportedly hitting the portal, according to CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz.
Samuel was the Cowboys’ starting left tackle coming into the year. He played all 76 snaps of OSU’s season-opening win against UT-Martin. But in preparation for the Cowboys’ game against Oregon, Samuel suffered an injury in the hotel walkthrough that sidelined him for the rest of the season.
He transferred to OSU last offseason from Appalachian State, brining 18 starts at left tackle with him from Boone, North Carolina.
