Oklahoma State is expected to hire Skyler Cassity as its DC, according to CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz. Based off an old Sam Houston bio, it looks like Cassity will be 32 years old entering next season.
Morris and UNT had just hired Cassity ahead of the 2025 season away from Sam Houston.
Cassity shaved 9.2 points a game off the Mean Green’s total, as UNT gave up 34.1 points a game in 2024 and 24.9 this year. After giving up 460.5 yards a game in the year before Cassity’s arrival, North Texas allows 370.
