Oklahoma State coach John Smith announced on his radio show tonight that Reece Witcraft has been making the descent to 125 pounds and will wrestle at the weight for the first time this weekend.
Trevor Mastrogiovanni had started the season at 125 for the Cowboys before missing the past four duals. True freshman Zach Blankenship took over in his absence recently. Mastrogiovanni is 13-5 this season and 47-16 overall in his time at Oklahoma State. Blankenship was 8-1 in tournaments but went 0-4 in dual starts.
Witcraft was the starter for the Cowboys at 133 during his true freshman season and was an NCAA qualifier for the Cowboys before the tournament was canceled because of COVID.
