When Hannah Webb was a freshman back in 2017, she received a text that changed that sticks with her to this day.
The message was from senior goalkeeper Michela Ongaro.
“Hey, I heard you’re doing a good job, keep it up we’re proud of you,” Ongaro said in the text.
Simple enough, right?
“Honestly, (Ongaro) probably didn’t think about it after she sent the message, but the impact that (text) had on me…,” Webb said as she trailed off. “I remind myself of that impact every day and make sure to send messages or even say that in person because it really does have a lasting impact on those underclassmen.
