Football season is creeping up and the Big 12 welcomes four new teams.
The O’Colly will rank position groups in the conference each week. This week, the quarterbacks start things off.
1. OU: Dillon Gabriel
Gabriel is at the top of (almost) everyone’s list for best Big 12 quarterback in 2023. Gabriel will be playing his second season at OU, following three years at UCF. In 2022, Gabriel passed for 3,168 yards and 25 touchdowns with a 62.7% completion rate. Gabriel missed the Red River Rivalry loss to Texas in October last season due to a concussion suffered in the first half of OU’s blowout loss to eventual national runner-up TCU.
