Pacific Northwest travel blog: On the waterfront in Seattle & Victoria

I love waterfronts. Most of us love waterfronts. Heck, in land-locked Oklahoma City, with a brook for a river, we’ve manufactured waterfronts. We brought water to the front with Bricktown, and we brought front to the water with the Boathouse District, which makes the Oklahoma River quite the sporting endeavor.

Other cities didn’t have to be so imaginative. Seattle, for instance. And Victoria, British Columbia.

Our magnificent Saturday started on Seattle’s Waterfront district and ended on Victoria’s Inner Harbor.

We had a 3:15 p.m. reservation on the Victoria Clipper to float us to Canada. That gave us a few hours in Seattle, and we used them.
